61 Church is an 1830 colonial with 1,394 square feet across two stories, offering the character of a historic Newport house with space for a party of four. The house has stairs and is not wheelchair accessible; consider the upstairs bedrooms and connected loft layout when deciding whether it suits your group.
Review the house rules and rates and booking policies before choosing dates. When you are ready, check availability and book 61 Church directly through OwnerRez. For more neighborhood context, read about staying on Newport’s Historic Hill.
Bedrooms

This two-bedroom Newport, RI vacation rental welcomes up to four guests in a private historic home. Two queen bedrooms and a loft with two twin beds offer space for couples, friends or a family, while full bathrooms on the first and second floors make getting ready for a day downtown easier.
The guest bedroom connects to the upstairs bathroom and a bonus loft with two tandem twin beds. Reached through that bedroom, the loft offers flexible sleeping arrangements, particularly for children; it is not a separate third bedroom. The total guest limit remains four. Explore the master bedroom, guest bedroom, bonus loft and upstairs bathroom in the photo gallery.
Kitchen and living

A full kitchen, separate dining room and living room give you room to settle into a whole-home stay on Newport’s Historic Hill. Make breakfast before a harbor outing, share a meal at home or unwind together after exploring downtown. Central air conditioning adds comfort during summer visits, and a washer in the flex/laundry room is useful for longer stays and beach days. See the kitchen, dining room, living room and flex room in the gallery.
When you would rather dine out, Thames Street is approximately a three-minute walk from the house. Follow our Thames Street walking guide for the route, or explore nearby shops and the waterfront in our Bowen’s Wharf guide.
Outside

The patio and grill offer an outdoor place to spend time between Newport outings, with beach equipment available for days by the coast. From this downtown vacation rental, you can explore Historic Hill on foot and return to your own home base rather than a hotel room. See the patio and exterior photos.
On-site parking fits one truck or two compact cars parked in tandem—not two independent spaces. All additional vehicles should use nearby street parking where signs allow, or the Mary Street lot one block away. Street parking is not always free, and seasonal restrictions apply. Our Newport parking map and walking directions include official rates and restrictions; the activity map helps you plan beach visits and other day trips.
